The electroless nickel-phosphorus/PTFE composite coating "GRANLUBE" is the electroless composite plating process that evenly co-deposits 1.0 micron or less of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) molecules in the electroless nickel-phosphorus film. By co-depositing the PTFE molecules, the film with excellent water-repellence, mold release performance, and lubricating ability can be obtained. GRANLUBE is the PTFE composite coating process with minimal environmental burden for it uses no perfluoroalkanesulfonate (PFAS), which is typified by PFOA and PFOS, or fluorochemical surfactant that contains its salt since its accumulation in the environment is a matter of concern as it was pointed out recently to have difficulty in decomposition.
